Take a can of Lysol (your choice of scent) or similar spray and spray into the in-take vents just under the windshield. This is while the engine is OFF and the blower is ON. Change the setting on the heat A/C / heater controls on spray again. Turn the temp. control to high heat and spray again (heater core is blocked off while the heat is turned down).
